Project Description:

Demolition of existing property within a Conservation area on the River Thames and construction of a new build detached home over two floors with indoor pool and total internal floor area in excess of 600m2. In terms of services the concept design includes under floor heating and cooling via ground source pump, sustainable drainage system, photovoltaic cells and energy efficient lighting. A Crestron system provides control of the audio visual installation, the heating and cooling systems, electric blinds and curtains, fire alarm and security systems. The dwelling was designed to Passivhaus standards with exceptional levels of insulation and mechanical ventilation with heat recovery (MVHR). The completed dwelling achieved an air permeability of 1.2 m3/m2/h.
