Ogier St Helier Jersey

Project Description:

Ogier is a leading global offshore law firm operating in 9 jurisdictions worldwide. In 2006 the practice embarked in the search for a suitable building to accommodate the practice’s headquarters in Jersey. Along with property consultants and architectural firm VZDV was appointed by Ogier to select a suitable site and work with the developer to ensure their demands were met. VZDV worked closely with the client and their design team to establish the employer’s requirements, produce the ERD and monitor the Category A construction process. VZDV were then employed as part of a design team to produce a Category B design and see the project through to occupation. The development consisted of 100,000ft2 over 6 floors and an underground basement. The building included air source heat pumps, complete central light controls and achieved a BREEAM Very Good rating; the first building to achieve this rating in the Channel Islands.
