We’re looking for a BIM / Revit MEP Coordinator to join our team.

We’re looking for someone who sits between a hands-on MEP technician and a BIM coordinator, someone experienced enough to take ownership of model coordination and work directly with design teams, but who also enjoys getting into the Revit model and doing the technical work themselves.

 You’ll work closely with mechanical, electrical and public health engineers to develop, coordinate and deliver high-quality MEP models across RIBA Stages 2–5. You’ll be involved in both the technical modelling and day-to-day coordination of building services projects.

Qualifications and experience

Essential:

  • British or European citizen or otherwise working rights in UK

  • Relevant technical qualification, ideally a university degree or diploma in Building Services, Engineering, or a related field

  • A minimum of 4+ years’ hands-on experience using Revit MEP in a building services environment

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain detailed Revit MEP models for mechanical, electrical and public health systems

  • Model and coordinate systems including ventilation, heating & cooling, water, drainage and electrical services

  • Coordinate MEP services with architectural and structural models within a federated BIM environment

  • Carry out model reviews, clash detection and design coordination, identifying and resolving issues with project teams

  • Produce and review 2D drawings, schematics and documentation directly from BIM models

  • Work closely with engineers and designers to translate design information into accurate, coordinated models

  • Take responsibility for model quality, BIM standards, naming conventions and information requirements

  • Support model exchanges, coordination meetings and communication of technical issues between disciplines

  • Manage and develop COBie data, parameters, schedules and other model information where required

  • Create and modify Revit families and support the development of data-rich models

  • Identify opportunities to improve workflows and support Dynamo / BIM automation initiatives

We’re looking for someone with solid hands-on Revit MEP experience in Building Services who has developed beyond pure modelling and is ready to take greater ownership of coordination.

You’ll ideally have:

  • Strong practical experience using Revit MEP on building services projects

  • Experience coordinating MEP models across multiple disciplines

  • A good understanding of MEP design, BIM processes and multidisciplinary coordination

  • Experience working across RIBA Stages 2–5

  • The confidence to communicate directly with engineers, designers and other project stakeholders

  • An understanding of BIM standards, model information and quality control

  • Experience with clash detection and federated models

  • The ability to troubleshoot modelling and coordination issues yourself rather than simply passing them on

Experience with COBie, IFC, Dynamo and BIM automation would be advantageous.

 This is a hands-on coordination role, you’ll be expected to both coordinate the work and get into the model to make things happen.

The BIM Team:

The BIM team currently includes 6 members which include a BIM Specialist. As part of the BIM team the candidate will be working closely within project teams that typically consist of a director, electrical engineers and mechanical engineers.

  • Salary negotiable to suit candidate

The design work varies from developing concept designs to Stage 3 for planning purposes to fully detailed design, contract and construction drawings.

The candidate will report directly to the Director. The candidate joins the company in the midst of exciting times, with a strong order book and growth opportunities. The candidate will be given the opportunity to develop their knowledge and skills and ultimately manage their own projects, which will include managing a team of engineers, building physicist and technicians.
